Casting
As a group we are looking for a young male (late teens) that can sing and play the guitar to make the performance look as convincing as possible. They need to be willing to act, but don't have to speak. However, imitating playing a song and singing will take a lot of confidence.

All three of these people fit our specification and requirements needed for our music video. However, we have decided that Ben Austin is the most suitable to play the artist (James Bay).
Ben Austin (James Bay)
Ben is 18 years old and a friend of everyone in the group, this is helpful as we can easily contact when we need to. He also takes Media, reassuring us that he knows that our project is important, and will take it seriously.
Ben is playing the part of the artist. (James Bay) He is perfect for this role because he can play guitar and sing. He is confident, so his performance will be believable, and was willing to act when we asked. Althogh he doesn't have long hair like James Bay, he is tall and slim, and we wanted the artist to be taller than the girlfriend figure.
Vicki Burr (Girlfriend)
Vicki is 17 years old, so a close age to Ben which makes the relationship between the two of them seem realistic. She is a very confident individual who enjoys acting and takes Media Studies at college, so like Ben, understands the importance of this project and will not let us down.
Another aspect that we took into consideration was the age of our actors. From our audience research, we found that we would be targeting our product towards teenagers, as over 50% of people that responded were aged 18 or under.
Although Ben is 18, he appears older than he actually is, and James Bay looks quite young. Had Ben worn a similar hat and had long hair like James Bay does, he would have been even more suited for the role.
