Reasons we considered it

We thought about possibly using this song because it has a clear narrative sung in it, and that we could reproduce what was happening, along with some parts of performance. However, as we analysed the lyrics, it became clear that it is not a simple story to put into video form, without involving lots of other people and locations which would be hard to get to / permission to film at, such as a castle. We knew even though we didn’t have to do this, it would make most sense to the viewers, instead of having an unrelated different story playing with the song. Finally, Chris Martin’s voice is very iconic, and a lot of people would associate it with his face, finding it hard to think that whoever was lip-synching was believable.
